Book Festival

Barth Book Festival 9th Edition

Launched in 2006, the Saint Barth Book Festival has always championed the arts of reading and literary creation. It all started as a simple book exchange program on UNESCO World Book Day, but over the years the festival has transformed itself into one of the major cultural events in St Barthélemy. For the past several years, it has paid special attention to developing a taste for reading amongst students, because in a world where an image often bears false witness to history, a book remains a place for freedom and reflection as found no place else. As a result, the festival found it rewarding to bring authors to local schools for programs organized in collaboration with the teachers who help select the authors that participate each year.
